Nestled on the banks of the River Thames, London stands as Europe’s largest metropolitan area and one of the most populous cities on the continent.
But beyond its towering skyscrapers and historic landmarks lies a vibrant tapestry of cultures, each contributing to the city’s rich culinary landscape.

As you traverse the bustling streets of England’s capital, prepare to embark on an epicurean adventure unlike any other.
If you find yourself in a situation similar to ours, with limited time in London but a desire to explore as much food as possible, we recommend the following:
Chinese – Gold Mine Queensway (12:00)

Starting with Chinese cuisine, we visited this restaurant on a weekday and found no queue, allowing us to be seated promptly.
It’s straightforward here: order their signature roast duck. While they offer a boneless option, we suggest going for the bone-in version.
If you’re in the mood for carbs, don’t miss out on their egg garlic fried rice – it’s a delightful addition to your meal.
Italian – 50 Kalò di Ciro Salvo Pizzeria (15:30)

Next, consider trying Italian food.
There is no shortage of good Italian restaurants in the city, but we ultimately chose 50 Kalo, as they were recently awarded the #14 spot in the #50toppizza world.
A must-order for us at any pizzeria is the quintessential Margherita.
They accept online reservation.
Indian – Gymkhana (20:30)

To conclude a day brimming with delectable delights, we settled on Indian cuisine. This establishment isn’t your run-of-the-mill Indian restaurant; Gymkhana proudly boasts 2 Michelin stars, making it an ideal spot for an upscale date night.

We didn’t indulge in their tasting menu (perhaps we should have), we went for their à la carte offerings.
We highly recommend starting with their Pappadum Selection, and for those who relish bold flavors, the Lasooni Wild Tiger Prawns are a must-try.

For the mains, we opted for the Methi Malai Mutter Paneer and Chicken Butter Masala. The paneer dish, in particular, was the best version we have ever tried.

And remember, complement your meal with one of their gin selections – the surprising harmony between the two is not to be missed.
